We all know of the awful Coronavirus spreading at the moment, which has forced many of us to self-isolate at home. This can create feelings of anxiety, loneliness and boredom, which in turn can negatively impact our mental health.
Therefore, it's important for both our physical and mental wellbeing to make sure that we're staying active and protecting our mental health. Physically, there's many ways to ensure we're keeping fit at home - from home workouts including yoga and aerobics to simply jogging on the spot for ten minutes. You could also use this time to learn a new skill, whether that's a new musical instrument, learn a language or finally finish your TBR (well, try to!).
Many people are feeling lonely during this time due to the lack of social contact, especially those who live alone and because of this, it's important to look into ways to keep in touch with friends and family. There's many different ways to do this, including video calling or messaging online. It can be very difficult to keep apart during these times yet unfortunately it's for the best to keep both ourselves and each other safe.
Also, you don't have to feel bored while staying inside. The time has finally arrived where we can do ALL of those tasks that we've been putting off! From clearing out that old cupboard or filing away all of your paperwork! And let's not forget, now's the chance where we can finally binge-watch that series that we've missed or try something new like starting a blog.
When you feel at your worst during these times and wish for life to return back to normal quickly, remember the wonderful community feel at the moment (well, aside from the panic buyers!) and the lovely small acts of kindness that people are doing for one another.
If anyone is feeling lonely during this current situation, you're more than welcome to reach out and message me. I wish you all happiness and health!
Take care, Sophie x
