Easter is coming! While many of us will be staying inside to stay safe, that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the Easter festivities. The scrummy chocolate bakes, indoor Easter egg hunts with the kids, egg decorating and more - it's still possible to have a good time! While we can't go out and visit loved ones at Easter, we can still give gifts to one another (even if it is through the post, the thought still counts!).
Chocolate What's Easter without chocolate?! Chocolate eggs. Chocolate nests. Yum. Buy a box of your loved one's favourite choccies and try to resist the urge to eat them up yourself!
Flowers Buying a friend or family a beautiful bouquet of flowers is a lovely way to show that you're thinking of them and a perfect gift to brighten up their home.
Relaxation Now, more than ever, is the time to put our feet up and remain calm. Journals, flavoured teas, bath sets, candles... anything that can help each other to relax and take a break from the stress.
Matching Jewellery Send your friends and/or loved ones a matching 'Best Friend', 'Mother and Daughter', etc. necklace or bracelet to help you both feel that little closer to one another during social distancing.
A Hamper Basket Why send one gift, when you can send many? Put together a hamper of treats, whether it's a big ol' basket of chocolates and truffles, or jams and preserves or even a basket of cheeses! Make it unique - even toilet roll might be appreciated at the minute... ;)
Décor Okay so, maybe this one's just for me... but if a family or friend asked what I'd like - I'd definitely say some cute Easter décor. Sweet fluffy bunnies, spring-themed wreaths, and cute egg-related items would be my ideal gift. (If you hadn't noticed, I love décor!).
Homemade Baking I actually think it's one of the sweetest things (pun not intended!) when people bake/cook for one another. There's so many bakes and sweet treats that are the perfect gift during Easter, or you could even bake one of the classics like a Victoria Sponge or Lemon Drizzle. Delish.
Afternoon Tea Once the lockdown is over, invite them round for an afternoon tea. Sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and of course a cuppa or two! A cute little get-together is something to look forward to this Easter.
So that's it, I hope you enjoyed this post and that it helped to inspire you to get thinking of some Easter gifts. Have a wonderful week everyone, and stay safe.
Take care,
Sophie x
